Is any one here picking the Saints?
I don't really care who wins, I'm hoping for an exciting game.
I gotta go with the Colts for the win but I might find myself rooting for the Saints if it's close down in the 4th quarter. _________________ "Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known." - Carl Sagan |

I think the Saints will win. Obvious injury to Freeney, less impactful injury to Wayne but most under the radar injuries to their secondary. Backup safety and third string corner vs Drew Brees. I don't see how NO scores less than 30. I do see scenarios that give Indy < 30.
I am a HUGE Peyton Manning fan. I love the mental, intellectual aspect to pro football. But let's take a page out of the Patriots manual to stopping Peyton Manning. Page 1: Pressure. Everyone talks about Manning killing D's vs the blitz. It's true, if you consistently blitz and consistently do NOT get to the QB, Manning will make you pay. Someone should go ask Brett Favre and Kurt Warner if the Saints have had success getting to the QB.
Prediction: Saints rough up Manning, force a few picks, a couple bad throws. Indy's lack of running game is exposed. Reginald has a Desmond Howard-like day (sidenote: $10 on Bush as MVP at 15:1 is great value). Brees vs. banged up Indy secondary. Three solid NO RB's vs. a small Indy front seven... Not only do I think that the Saints will win, but I am thrilled to have put some dough on Saints +6 on Monday! _________________ Football games aren't played on paper, they're played inside TV sets. |

| I've got no interest and won't be watching, but I guess I'm happy there are at least no teams here that I hate. As a fan of a team that's never won a Super Bowl, I guess I hope the Saints win, because I know what a great day this could be their fans. The Colts have won before; their fans don't need this. |

| Well, it was a good game. Lost some coin, apparently because the Saints and their coach have a bigger set of balls than I gave them credit for. I still think that Minnesota was the best team in the NFL this year. |

Gotta give the Saint's D some major credit. They put Favre on the ground time and time again, and held the Colts to 7 points over three quarters of football.
Congratulations New Orleans! _________________ -CamasMan

Good call, Beef.
Manning's receivers killed two drives and Sean Payton's rolling of the dice kept him out of the game for a third. Payton got very, very lucky. |

| Very good game, closer then the final score considering the Colts were in possition to tie the game with 3 minuets left. The Colts owned the 1st quarter, after that Saints took control. Indy's recievers lost this game for the Colts. What the heck happened to Wayne, is he finished as an elite reciever? Didn't really care who won, but the better team on this Sunday definately won this game. |

Wasn't dead on accurate with my prediction, but far closer than most analysts. And even though no one in the country is second guessing Sean Payton today as they shouldn't, Reggie was pretty damn explosive the few touches he got. _________________ Football games aren't played on paper, they're played inside TV sets. |

That was a great game and the teams were very evenly matched. Who would have thought Manning would throw a pick 6 wth the game on the line? I was surprised he threw that pass at the sideline when they had been having such great success across the middle all game long.
I was most impressed with the pass protection afforded to both QB's. It's amazing what an O-line can do for a quarterback. We gots to get us on of those! _________________ "Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known." - Carl Sagan |
